Membership Information

General Membership Information

Anyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, appearance, or otherwise can apply to become a member of the IAEA by writing a letter to the IAEA through IAEA’s contact address (e-mail or postal) or verbally by attending any of IAEA meeting. Any intending member is then required to meet the following requirements:

  1. Every member is required to read and understand the IAEA by-laws (constitution).
  2. Every member is required to fill, sign and date the “interest of conflict disclosure” form every year. Even, if there is nothing to disclose, every member is still required to fill the form and put a "check mark" in the section that reads, "I have no conflict of interest to report".
  3. Payment of Annual Membership Fee: Every member is required to pay an annual membership fee of $100. This can be paid in cash or by cheque. If paying by cheque, it should be made payable to “IAEA”.
  4. Compliance Guide: In addition to the 3 requirements above, members are required to familiarize themselves with the rules and regulations guiding public charities as defined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The rules and regulations can be found in the "Compliance Guide for Section 501(c) (3) for Public Charities" by the IRS. The guide can be downloaded from the link below.

Members Guiding Principles

We will interact among ourselves with cordiality and openness: We will be even-handed, inclusive and accepting to everyone's input. We reject and avoid any action that would have any semblance of harassment and/or discrimination on race, ethnicity, religion, appearance or otherwise. We will be courteous and open. We will promptly confront issues and concentrate on reaching resolutions rather than dwelling on attributing blame.
